Regarding the above, Maxine McBryan commented (27 December 2000):
There just a few little discrepancies. On page 259, number 6 it says James age 6. I'm pretty sure that should be Jane. These are the children of Edward and Ellen McBrien.
I haven't been able to determine who number 11, page 259 is. There are several Thomas's in the family tree, but I can't match the dates to mine. If he was 25 in 1851, then he was born around 1826. Edward had a son, Thomas, who was born about 1848 and a brother, Thomas, who was born in 1823 and died in 1864. There is a Thomas in the Robert McBrien line born 1818. I haven't gone into much deeper than that, but if anybody know who this Thomas is let us know. Edward also had an uncle Thomas who would have been much older, born in the 1780s or 90s.
I find it interesting that Robert and Johnson Isles are listed down from the rest of the Isles family. The Robert McBrien family interrupt this list of Isles of the same family. That must mean that Catherine and Andrew were living in the same household as her brother, Robert, and sister-in-law, Sarah, in 1851. Of course, her mother, Jane McBrien is listed too. Her father, Robert, is not listed, so he must have died before 1851. I'll have to look into that a little deeper. It has never occurred to me that they would be sharing the same household in Whitby. When they came to Lambton, Robert and Sarah had a different household than Catherine and Andrew. Jane lived with each of her children at different times. Jane is buried in the same plot at Catherine and Andrew.
